Perfect 7-day Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Safari

The Perfect 7-day Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Safari is among our most popular offerings. The wildebeests (gnus) are closely related to gazelles and oryxes. A wildebeest can weigh as much as 600 pounds (270 kilograms) and reach a maximum height of 2.4 meters. Wildebeests inhabit the wide forests and savannah grasslands of the Serengeti and Masai Mara plains. More than 1.5 million wildebeests migrate into both countries after the rainy season in May or June. This migration phenomena is acknowledged as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Natural World.’ The wildebeest migration in pursuit of greener pastures faces the peril of crocodiles in the rivers that prey on them ruthlessly.
