The Serengeti National Park encompasses approximately 14,763 square kilometers, featuring grasslands, kopjes, rivers, forests, and woodlands in northern Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a game reserve featuring a significant density of wildlife situated within the caldera of an extinct volcano, encompassing approximately 8,292 square kilometers of forests, savannah grasslands, wetlands, and lake habitats on the eastern flank of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara is a freshwater lake situated within the diversified and verdant Lake Manyara National Park, providing exceptional birdwatching, breathtaking landscapes, and outstanding wildlife observation. Comprehensive itinerary of 8 Day Self drive Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, your guide in Arusha will greet you, provide a briefing regarding your safari, and transport you to Tulia Boutique Hotel and Spa for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 2: Transit to Tarangire National Park

Following your breakfast, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park, initiating your animal viewing excursions in Tanzania. Upon checking in at your accommodation within the national park, you will prepare for lunch before venturing into the bush during your Tanzania Wildlife Safaris.

During your game drive, you will observe various wildlife species, including lions, giraffes, antelopes, leopards, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, elephants, cheetahs, impalas, and a diverse array of bird species, particularly around Tarangire National Park. While you appreciate the sunset and surrounding landscape, your guide will transport you back to Tarangire Roika Lodge for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transit to Lake Manyara National Park

Breakfast will be provided at your resort in Tarangire National Park before to checking out and proceeding to Lake Manyara National Park. Approximately two-thirds of the national park is encompassed by Lake Manyara, a prominent attraction that draws a diverse array of wildlife and avian species. Your guide will transport you to your resort for lunch.

Following lunch, you will embark on a game drive to observe many wildlife species in this national park, including elephants, gazelles, buffalo, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks, hartebeests, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, elands, and impalas, among others. During your game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, you will observe a variety of bird species. Following your game drive at Lake Manyara Tortolise resort, you will return to your resort for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 4: Journey to Serengeti National Park

You will partake in an early breakfast at your lodge in preparation for your transfer to Serengeti National Park. During your game drive over the broad savannah plains en route to your resort, you will observe several wildlife species. You will dine at your lodge while preparing for an afternoon game drive.

During your game drive in the national park, you will appreciate the stunning landscapes, including the kopjes where lions observe their victims. During your game drive, you will observe a variety of wildlife species, including elephants, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, wildebeests, antelopes, and impalas, among others. You will go to your accommodation for supper and overnight stay at Osinon Lodges and Camps.

Days 5 and 6: Entire day in Serengeti National Park

On the fifth day of your eight-day Tanzania safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in preparation for a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park’s savannah plains, where you may observe many wildlife species that are particularly active in the morning while enjoying the sunrise.

During your tour to Serengeti National Park, you will encounter sites like as the Retina Hippo Pool, where numerous hippos may be observed swimming. Various predators can be observed in the savannah of this national park, particularly perched atop rock kopjes.

Your lunch will be provided at your lodge following your morning game drive. In the evening, you will participate in an additional game drive to observe wildlife species, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinoceroses, and elephants. Additionally, you will observe several wildlife and avian species, including wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, and buffaloes, among others. You will return to your lodge following the evening game drive for dinner and overnight accommodations as previously mentioned.

Day 7: Journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On the seventh day of your eight-day Tanzania safari, following breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti National Park, you will check out and embark on an en-route game drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. An optional tour to the Olduvai Gorge, an archeological site where Dr. Mary and Louis Leakey uncovered information pertinent to human evolution, will be available.

Your lunch will be provided prior to your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater to observe many sites, including Lake Magadi, located at the crater’s core. While traversing the Ngorongoro Crater, you will observe several flamingos along the beaches of Lake Magadi, alongside various other avian species. The crater area is home to various wildlife species, including elephants, buffalo, rhinoceroses, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, gazelles, kudus, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. As you traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will also appreciate the stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. You will thereafter continue to Hhando Coffee Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 8: Depart for Arusha and thereafter fly to Zanzibar
